LOGISTICS VOLUNTEER
Who we are:
The Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra (BPO) is a largeorchestra based in Brussels, at the Saint-Michel Theatre (near Montgomery). The orchestra has around one hundred young musicians who have recently graduated from the Conservatoire.
The mission of the BPO is to prepare these musicians for a future career in a professional orchestra, by enabling them to develop their own style in a disciplined and structured manner, through a very varied repertoire. The result is a series of high quality concerts, in a jovial and relaxed atmosphere.
Your role:
As the right-hand man (or woman) of our stage manager you will assist with the logistical preparations for rehearsals and concerts, from mid-September until the end of June:
You will be present every Monday evening from 18:15 at the rehearsals in Brussels (Etterbeek) as well as at all concerts (10 to 12 per season)
You will take care of arranging the chairs, stands and instruments in order to set up for the orchestra (80 musicians)
You will assist with the transportation of materials and instruments when they occasionally need to be taken somewhere or collected.
Depending on your skills, you would also have the possibility to lend a hand with communications and the management of administrative documents for the musicians
Your profile:
You are available to donate some of your own time to support young professional musicians
You are physically fit and healthy
You are punctual and reliable
You are fond of classical music, even if you are not particularly familiar with it.
